College Project
In June 2007, His Grace, Archbishop Adrian Doyle, announced that St Aloysius Primary School would be expanded to become St Aloysius Catholic College at the commencement of the 2009 school year on a new site at Huntingfield, outside of Kingston.
The expansion will accommodate years 7 to 10, making the College a kinder to year 10 College.
The Archbishop has set a target of 75% Catholic enrolment, but this does not preclude parents with other religious affiliation seeking to enrol their children at the College. The emphasis will be on providing a quality Christ-centred education within the Catholic context.
St Aloysius Primary School has been an established popular school with a solid brand in the Kingborough municipality since it was begun by the Sisters of Charity in 1960. It has a very strong connection to the Kingston Channel Parish and the new College will seek to make these connections even stronger, through positive opportunities for interaction between the College and the Parish.
