Grade 7-10 SATIS Sports Teams

Sport is an important aspect of the curriculum at St Aloysius.  The College is a member of SATIS (Sports Association of Tasmanian Independent Schools) which essentially means that the College has the opportunity to compete in the Southern and State athletics carnivals, Southern cross country, and Southern and State swimming carnivals plus Southern rosters in netball, AFL, basketball, tennis, cricket and soccer.  Further information on these events is distributed throughout the school year via the Health & Physical Education teaching staff at the College.  Any questions should be directed to Mrs Marcelle Ottaway at

Access to current SATIS rosters can be found at –

Grade 3-6 Sports Teams

Students are given the opportunity to participate in after school sports and external sporting events that are coordinated through our co-curricular program.    We require at least one parent in the role of parent contact or coach for each of our teams, to ensure the presence of a responsible adult at all sporting events.

The sporting program is centered on providing opportunities for participation, with a focus on teamwork and socialisation.  Students are encouraged to participate in school teams in order to develop school spirit and camaraderie.  It is expected that representation for the school will be a student’s first priority in their chosen sport or sports.  Rosters for most sports are held in and around the Kingborough Sports Centre.
